Care That Begins With Connection: How MD TruCare Is Strengthening Patient Support

Our Drive Behind Care

When MD TruCare began, one mission was always kept in mind. Our practice would serve as an environment where patients can receive care in a space that is free of stigma and judgment. Over the years, however, this mission has grown into something much more.

As we have continued to build a community of care throughout the areas surrounding our practices, we have remained committed to advocating for our patients and serving as a resource they can turn to throughout their journey. Our services, specialties, and team have continued to grow, allowing us to provide more opportunities for compassionate, evidence-based care. But despite all of this change, our patients have remained at the center of everything we do.

With this commitment in mind, we have continued to ask ourselves: how can we support our patients beyond the time they spend in an appointment?

Mental health support should not be limited to the 30 minutes to one hour you spend with a provider. The support individuals receive should extend to all aspects of their care by creating opportunities for patients to feel heard, stay connected to their care, access helpful information, and find resources that support their individual needs. That is where our vision for more connected care began.

Through our Connected Care Initiative, MD TruCare is working to establish more pathways for patients to remain informed, supported, and connected to our practice. This initiative reflects our continuous efforts to make care more accessible and seamless through every stage of a patient’s journey.

Resources & Patient Education Materials

Mental health does not exist separately from the rest of our well-being. Our emotional, physical, and mental wellness are all interconnected, and each plays a vital role in how we operate.

With a continued focus on the overall well-being of our patients, we have increased our efforts to establish meaningful partnerships, so that individuals seeking care can gain resources from other forms of specialties. We understand that every individual has different needs and no treatment plan looks the same. By helping patients reach additional resources and support, we aim to make it easier for them to be able to find care that addresses their needs as a whole.

Alongside this, our practice has placed an increased focus on patient education and the information available outside of their appointments. Through educational and online materials, patients are able to get more information on what services and specialties are available to them, understand their diagnosis further, what symptoms to keep an eye out for, and more.

From learning more about commonly discussed concerns and conditions to exploring treatment options and wellness topics, we want patients to have a trusted place to turn when questions arise.

MD TruCare offers a variety of resources for patients and community members who are seeking reliable information and want to learn more about mental health and wellness.

New Pathways for Staying Connected

Remaining connected to your care is an important part of supporting your well-being. Questions, concerns, and needs do not always arise during a scheduled appointment. Which is why we are focusing our efforts on creating more accessible pathways for communication.

Text Messaging

Patients are now able to communicate with a member of our team through text messaging. For individuals who may be on the go, at work, or managing other responsibilities, texting our practice can provide an additional and convenient way to reach us when general questions and concerns arise.

Patients can send a text message to our practice phone number, where a member of our team can review the inquiry and provide further assistance.

The Patient Portal

Our patient portal continues to serve as an important method of staying connected with your provider and our care team. When a patient needs to submit a medication refill request or has a question directed towards their provider, the portal is a direct outlet to communicate with our team.

These pathways are designed to help patients further connect to their care while providing additional opportunities to reach the appropriate team member of our team when support is needed.

Only The Beginning

The Connected Care Initiative represents an important step forward for MD TruCare, but it is only the beginning.

Our practice is continuously working to evaluate how we can better serve our patients, expand access to support, and strengthen the care we provide to the surrounding community. As our services and specialties continue to grow, we remain committed to creating additional opportunities for patients to explore individualized, expert-led treatment options.

We envision a future of mental health care where patients feel comfortable seeking support, asking questions, exploring treatment options, and continuing their journey without fear of judgment or stigma. We want to continue creating pathways that make care feel more accessible, communication feel more open, and support feel more connected.

At MD TruCare, compassionate care is not simply where our mission ends.

It is where our connection begins.
